I'm Special Counsel at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, where I chair the firm's AI Governance Committee, and a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne working on AI governance and national uniform legislation. I chair the global working group on "Legislation for AI / Legislation with AI" under the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel. Over 15+ years of practice I've advised the NT Government, local councils and national enterprises on governance, contracting and regulatory strategy.

The research keeps the advice sharp - I've published in the Australian Law Journal, the Australian Journal of Human Rights and AI and Society, and I write regularly for The Conversation. But the work I do for clients is practical: training your people, drafting policies they'll actually follow, and briefing your board in plain English.

I'm based in Darwin and work nationally - in person in any capital city, or remote anywhere.
